C. Explain how the view of social context factors and social motives has evolved over the history of social psychology. Be sure to support your analysis

with examples from research to support your claim.

D. Explain the conclusions you can reach about research in social psychology. In other words, explain what we know about social context factors and

social motives, based on your review of the research presented in the course. Be sure to support your analysis with examples from research to

support your claim.

E. Describe the specific research designs used in the foundational research presented in the course used to address research questions. For example,

what were the specific methods used to address their research question? What type of research design was used?

F. Explain how research designs were used by authors to conduct research in social psychology. In other words, how did the research designs used by

researchers help in conducting research regarding social psychology?

G. Discuss how issues of ethics have been addressed in the foundational research presented in the course. For example, how did the authors inform

the participants of what the experiment would entail? How did the authors account for any potential risks to participants associated with the study?

H. Discuss how issues of ethics in social psychology have been viewed historically. In other words, how have issues of ethics in the field been viewed

over time? Has this view changed as the field has progressed? Be sure to support your response with examples from research to support your claims.

Assignment: Application: Systems Theory For this Assignment, you apply systems theory to the examination of a problem in a department or a unit within a health care organization. To prepare:
1. Review the Meyer article, “Nursing Services Delivery Theory: An Open System Approach,” in this week’s Learning Resources. Think about how you could address the problem: Consider what a desired outcome would be, then formulate related goals and objectives, and translate those goals into policies and procedures. 5. Research professional standards that are pertinent to your identified problem. 6. Reflect on the organization’s mission statement and values. In addition, consider how addressing this problem would uphold the mission and values, while improving the organizational culture and climate. (Depending on the organization you have selected, you may have explored these in the Week 1 Discussion.) To complete: Write a 3- to 5-page paper (page count does not include title and reference page) that addresses the following:

a) Genetically modified organisms (GMOs). What is the purpose genetic engineering of crop plants and domestic animals? Briefly explain how GMOs are created. What foods in your supermarket contain GMOs? Are foods that contain GMOs safe for human consumption? What types of regulations exist for these foods? Clearly explain your reasoning for each answer.
b) Stem cells. Your friend had a spinal cord injury after a bad car accident. The medical team has decided that he is a good candidate for a clinical trial using stem cell therapy. Your friend has not had a biology course since high school, so you decide to write him a letter sharing your knowledge of stem cells. Include in your letter a description of the biology of stem cells and how these cells are unique from other cells. Contrast the different types of stem cells, including pros and cons of each. Explain how stems cells are can be used to treat diseases and injury, with special focus on spinal cord injuries. Conclude with your own opinion.
c) Fracking (hydraulic fracturing) and tar sands (oil sands). With society’s dependence on nonrenewable fossil fuels, the oil & gas industry is turning to the use of hydraulic fracturing and tar (oil) sands to extract natural gas and oil respectively.
