The instructions are:

I am needing help with writing my college admission essay for an accelerated BSN program.

The instructions are:

The personal statement should address your desire and motivation to pursue a career in nursing. This statement should be no more than 500 words.

I have started working on it and I am needing help on making it better and finishing it please and thank you for your time.

Working Personal Essay Working Progress:

I am born and raised in the Philippines and had moved to the United States on October 2010 to be with my grandmother. Growing up I was thought by grandmother’s sisters to always try my best on everything whether it is at school, family, or my job no matter how hard the obstacles are I aimed for success. To support myself financially with daily needs and school I work full time and at times sign up for extra shifts when I am not needing to study extra for school. On March 2014 up to March 2016 I worked 16 hours shift, 2 days in a row every weekend at Garden Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. When I did not have classes in the morning I would work 8 hours shift in the afternoon or night and vice versa if I had school in the afternoon. In doing so, I was able to pay for my car, insurance, needs, school, and help my grandmother. Working for Garden Valley had been a wonderful experienced. I mostly worked in the Alzheimer’s unit and I loved being able to take care of the elderly population with an everyday mindset of “I care for my patients like I would my grandmother”. On March I had moved on to work 12 hours shift full time for Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Kansas and I still currently work for them. It is great to experience a different setting but still take care of patients no matter what their age and or symptoms are.

When I was 8 years old swimming with my aunt Rose in their private pool she had a seizure. I was able to put a piece of the spoon in a towel in her mouth while I swam her back out the pool. As I was yelling to her son, my cousin, “Call 911!” I was doing CPR. It was the longest 10 minutes of my life It felt like eternity. Ever since that day I had wanted to make a difference by helping people to the best of my abilities. I am thankful that my other two aunts were nurses and they had taught me some basic medical knowledge that I was able to utilize it and save my Aunt’s life.

I believe I am a good candidate for this program because

Lastly, If I can get in the Accelerated BSN program in MidAmerica University I will absorb all the knowledge and training that is taught and utilize it to do what I love most which is to help other individuals medically, emotionally, and spiritually by taking care of them with all my brains and heart.

Module 2

It seems pretty easy to think of an ethical dilemma related to the sciences, and this week you are finishing the first essay that tackles one of these. But the sciences are only one piece of “liberal arts and sciences.” We will now look at how artists function relative to dilemmas and controversies.

Begin by reviewing the following resources:

Next, after you have reviewed this material, please address the following question in your initial post of 250+ words, including at least 2 additional academic resources.

  1. How can artists use their creations to promote engagement in social justice/citizenship in their society and community?
  2. Should the fine/performing arts (music, dance, painting, sculpture, architecture, etc.) focus on entertaining, enlivening, and decorating our world? Is that enough, or must an artist also help us to embrace the things we fear, loathe, or ignore in order to be considered a “true artist”? Why/why not?

Your initial post should be at least 250 words and must substantively and originally respond to the discussion prompt, integrating the assigned readings from the module as specified, with proper APA (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. style formatting.
